HERE HE IS: SUPERMAN 2006!

There you go! This is it! The first official photo of Brandon Routh as SUPERMAN in Bryan Singer's upcoming film! Let the debate begin!

Following a mysterious absence of several years, the Man of Steel comes back to Earth in the epic action-adventure Superman Returns, a soaring new chapter in the saga of one of the world's most beloved superheroes. While an old enemy plots to render him powerless once and for all, Superman faces the heartbreaking realization that the woman he loves, Lois Lane, has moved on with her life. Or has she? Superman's bittersweet return challenges him to bridge the distance between them while finding a place in a society that has learned to survive without him. In an attempt to protect the world he loves from cataclysmic destruction, Superman embarks on an epic journey of redemption that takes him from the depths of the ocean to the far reaches of outer space.

Directed by Bryan Singer (X2: X-Men United, X-Men, "The Usual Suspects"), Superman Returns stars Brandon Routh, Kate Bosworth ("Beyond the Sea," "Blue Crush"), James Marsden (X2: X-Men United, "The Notebook"), Frank Langella (HBO's "Unscripted"), Academy Award-winner Eva Marie Saint ("North By Northwest"), Parker Posey ("Best in Show"), Kal Penn ("Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle"), Sam Huntington ("Detroit Rock City") and Oscar-winner Kevin Spacey ("Beyond the Sea," "American Beauty," "The Usual Suspects").

Superman Returns will be released on June 30, 2006 by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company
Hmmm...I'll have to see it in action to get a better idea but it is NOT what I'd expect and it's also EXACTLY what I expected...I mean what can they do - if they use the exact same costume that Christopher Reeve wore then it would look gay and people will complain, they go a little cooler with the low-trunks and the "S" on the belt and everyone screams for blood. It was a no win proposition and it really is in Singer's hands and will make or break his career - too many negatives already from casting to storyline to now the costume that he better be spinning some amazing twists on the effects and the final look to win back all the naysayers.

At least Fox is probably laughing now...I have a feeling that X3 will definitely have better buzz than Superman is having so far.

for goodness sake!!

he freaking looks super gay

what's up with the color it's soooooo dull

and that tiny "S" , not to mention the "s" On the belt

ONE S IS ENOUGH!!!!
\
the s should be bigger like on the "redder" version pic

not too big and not tiny, just right

there is no balance with all that blue

the symbol provided a balance

and yes, routh's neck should be thicker

not too mention that superman should have the body of the "rock" or triple H

we could understand that superman wasn't that big in his first years as superman (with christopher reeve)

But now!! come on!! with all the money at their disposal they couldn't make him alot more beefier?!!

Will freaking Smith did it!!

SINGER!!! A PLAGUE! A PLAGUE ON BOTH YOUR HOUSES!!!

ps.i'll still go see it though

I LIKE SINGER AS A DIRECTOR
